The Columbia Pike Revitalization Organization (CPRO) is proud to announce its partnership with Signature Theatre for “The Music of the Movies: Oscar Scores and Classic Musicals”.

Every weekend, June through September, some of the best musicals to grace the silver screen, plus films with unforgettable scores, will be shown at the Columbia Pike Movie Nights.

A total of twenty-eight films will be shown outdoors on Fridays at Arlington Mill Community Center and Saturdays at Penrose Square. From The Wizard of Oz, Singin’ In The Rain, and West Side Story to The Music Man, Toy Story and Coco there is something for everyone. All films are rated G, PG, or PG-13. A few movies, including The Sound of Music and Grease will be presented as audience sing-alongs.

The Columbia Pike Movie Nights are underwritten by the Washington Forrest Foundation, with individual films sponsored by local businesses. This year marks the first year that Arlington’s Tony Award®-winning theatre, Signature Theatre, will be a major sponsor.

“Signature is thrilled to support the 2018 Columbia Pike Movie Nights, which will bring the magic of great classic musicals to the big screen for free to the Arlington community this summer,” said Eric Schaeffer, Artistic Director of Signature Theatre.
