Do you live on the West End of Columbia Pike? Do you love to share books? Do you live near a school or a bus stop or another place with good foot traffic? You could be a Little Free Library Steward!
The Columbia Pike Revitalization Organization (CPRO) and its West End Committee are seeking residents of the Pike’s West End to host Little Free Libraries. We are specifically looking for homes in the civic associations of Arlington Mill, Barcroft, Columbia Forest, and Douglas Park. If you are interested, you must apply by Friday, January 19.
To get you started, CPRO will donate the materials, build your library, install it, and even donate great children’s books!
As a Little Free Library Steward, all you have to do is host the Little Free Library in your yard and provide a little maintenance. The Library is completely yours to decorate and supply with your own books. Just be sure to encourage neighbors to take a book and leave a book (You should also check the books that are donated to ensure they are appropriate for kids and adults).
Join CPRO and its West End Committee in sparking creativity, inspiring a love of reading, and building community. We look forward to working with you.
If you are interested in becoming a Little Free Library Steward, contact CPRO at firstname.lastname@example.org or (703) 892-2776.
