2705 Columbia Pike
Atilla’s Restaurant opened in 1977, and has been a popular neighborhood spot on the Pike ever since. Their well-reviewed Turkish and Middle Eastern specialties have a loyal following for carryout, comfortable sit-down dining, and catering.
The menu features Traditional Turkish kebab platters, gyros & seafood items, and it’s most popular dish, the Doner Kebab, served only on Fridays and Saturdays. “The doner kebab is enough to bring honor to Axilla’s,” said the Washington Post’s Phyllis C. Richman.
Zulkuf Gezgic, owner and chef at Atilla’s was featured in Arlington Art’s 2016 project, “Recipes for You,” featuring 12 pages about Columbia Pike’s diverse restaurateurs: their personal journey on one side, a cherished recipe on the reverse.
