Dama Café (1505 Columbia Pike) is located at the east end of Columbia Pike just blocks from the Air Force Memorial. It is a family run business that has been on the Pike for 13 years. They feature traditional Ethiopian foods and also have a very popular bakery.
Almaz Dama, the well known Pastry Chef runs the show at Dama Café.
Their vegetarian delight pastry is a Dama exclusive, especially popular during “Tseom” (Ethiopian lent season). Dama’s exclusive pastry menu also includes tempting sugarless pastries for clients who request them.
Dama Café started six decades ago. Almaz Dama’s Father father had been a great philanthropist and decided to be a baker to support the family and feed the community. In order to ensure that his humanitarian effort was not in vain, the family decided to carry on his legacy to the next generation. The family runs the whole business—practicing division of labor to ensure that their valued customers are completely satisfied.
