Bike and Walk to the Mill

Bike, walk, run, or scoot to CPRO’s “Second Saturdays at the Mill” this July to celebrate the best of active transportation. Enjoy a ton of free, family-friendly activities from a backwards bicycle and slow race to fun crafts and games, including neighborhood bingo. Plus, get a free tune-up for your own bike!

HISTORY OF THE MILL

The Arlington Mill, originally located near Columbia Pike and the Alexandria, Loudon and Hampshire Railroad where they cross Four Mile Run, was occupied by both Union and Confederate troops during skirmishes when the area changed hands several times.

Just steps from the bike trail, free parking for up to four hours is available in the Arlington Mill Community Center parking garage. To enter the garage from Columbia Pike, turn onto S. Dinwiddie St. Take the first street to your right and turn right again onto S. Arlington Mill Dr. The garage will be on the right.
