Additional State & Local Changes

In addition to guidelines for businesses reopening, the State and County have issued additional orders and made temporary changes to certain ordinances.

Temporary Outdoor Seating

In order to assist restaurants with reopening and compliance with Virginia’s outdoor dining regulations, Arlington County has approved a new Temporary Outdoor Seating Area (TOSA) process that allows permits to be approved quickly by county staff.

Masks Now Required

Starting Friday, May 29, any person age ten and older must wear a mask or face covering at all times in most public settings. Earlier this month, Arlington County announced it will be distributing free cloth face masks to the public.
